Saying we want to achieve a goal and achieving it are quite different. Saying it does not make it true. Let’s say you want to build a great business, or be great at what you do in your work or achieve a specific goal. How can you make sure you will achieve it? Here is a simple test.
Look for someone who has already built a great business, or become great at your line of work, or achieved your goal, find out what have they done specifically? What was the highest value, highest priority daily action? Next let’s see what you are doing daily.
Do your daily actions match what needs to be done? Or is there a gap? Be brutally honest with yourself. If you are not getting the results you desire either change the goal or change your daily action. It is the disciplined daily action that is key.
There is a way to be naturally disciplined, reliable and focused. Align your goals and activity with what’s most important to you, with what you love to do. We call those your highest personal values. Do that and you will be on fire with full access to everything that makes you great.
