What is good strategy?
This is a day to explore strategy and know what is good strategy versus bad strategy. The ultimate question of strategy is this – if you say yes to this, what are you going to say NO to? Strategy involves trade offs. A one stop shop for example is not good strategy because it tries to do everything and be everything to everybody.
Exploring business models
We will explore business models and value proposition using the famous Business Model Canvas. What are the 9 building blocks of any business model? What is your business model today? Is it coherent? Does it deliver the value your core customer want the way they want it? It all starts with your core customer now.
Discovering your core customer
Finally how do you discover your WHO? Your core customer which is not based on demographics. This is about exploring demand and discovering what is the heart and mind of your core customer. Everything starts with your core customer and identifying demand. Otherwise you are like everyone else…simply guessing and hoping.
